back to 1907 and its distinctive style certainly makes it easy
to find. Once inside the interior is equally pleasing with
great fireplaces, natural wood and ornate plasterwork. Today

regular trade courtesy of both visitors and local alike.

De Coubertins is a fun and lively sport bar decorated with a
wealth of sporting memorabilia from all types of different
sports, including of course football but also athletics, rugby
and gymnastics. Theres also a restaurant area serving up
American style food such as burgers to great steaks and
chicken dishes, many of which have been giving humorous
sporting linked names.

The Dispensary has undergoing a transformation thanks new
management in the form of the Robert Cain Brewery of
Liverpool. The idea was to recreate the feel of a traditional
Victorian alehouse. The dark wooden floors and old-fashioned
bar area adds to the feel as does the array of pharmaceutical
equipment on display. The place enjoys a fun atmosphere, a
good selection of beers and fine food, making this a
much-loved place.

Situated in the Queen Square area, Doctor Duncans is named
after the son of a Liverpool merchant who worked tirelessly in
his capacity as a doctor to ensure better living conditions
for his patients. Dr Duncans serves up a selection of local
Cains Ales and a good many guest beers. Theres also a
tempting menu on offer with generously sized portions of bar
snacks and traditional hearty pub grub.

upmarket bars. It is the perfect place for those who like a

food is in the form of dishes such as fresh seafood pasta,
roasted fillet of kingfish, or mussels in a wine, garlic and
cream sauce. Expect a young a trendy crowd.
